I think (hope) I'm not alone in, at times, being consumed by an obsession that knows no bounds. The oldest, most enduring of these would be hide merchadise--to the point where I spent 2000 yen on a knock off skull earring in a small shop in Shibuya when I already have an authentic one from the shop hide actually bought his from. I probably spent a good $200 on hide merchadise, pretty much whatever I chanced upon. But newer, fresher obsessions have taken root as of late. Though, the plane food was worse than usual and United had an extra special announcement, stating that we got to test their new policy regarding alcohol on public flights--where you now have to pay $6 per drink! How fortunate, because I was tired of getting free alcohol, I'd rather pay for it. Actually, I don't drink, but the way they worded it made it sound like we were lucky enough to experience this brand new opportunity. I haven't been updating/uploading much at all lately--or for the past few months. As soon as I get back to the States I intend to change that. One more week in Japan. It's been fun so far but I'll be happy to get back to my own room. ..that's it.
